Just Retirement has won a top industry award for service, having been voted Company of the Year in the annual Financial Adviser Service Awards 2011.

Over 6,500 advisers voted in this year’s awards, organised by FT Adviser magazine, part of The Financial Times Ltd.

According to the magazine, “These annual awards are an independent measurement of who is getting it right, and who needs to do more work to keep their customers happy”. It is the second time in three years that Just Retirement has won the top accolade for service.

The company also achieved its seventh consecutive '5 Star' accolade in the Life and Pensions category and its fourth consecutive '5 Star' accolade in the Mortgage Lender and Packagers category . Those awarded 5 stars for service are considered to be the top performers in the industry.

David Cooper, Just Retirement’s Group Marketing and Distribution Director, said: “This award is recognition of the first class service we offer financial advisers and their customers."

He added: "In the last year we have maintained our market leading position as number one enhanced annuity provider, completed record numbers of annuity applications in an average of just 24 days and introduced a new Fixed Term Annuity product. We have also made tens of millions of pounds available to retirees through equity release lending. We are delighted to have won, but resting on our laurels is never an option.”
