Just Retirement Limited was launched in August 2004 and was listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) from December 2006 to November 2009, at which time it became a wholly owned subsidary of Avalon Acquisitions Limited (Avalon).
Avalon is a company that is controlled by certain funds managed by the European private equity firm Permira Advisers LLP (Permira).
The Permira funds own a number of well-known high-street brands including New Look, Hugo Boss, the AA, Saga and Birds Eye.
